As the world has evolved in the last 50 years, so has technology. Once upon a time dogs were known as the best friends of humans but now I would say it is the computers who are more faithful to us and understand our every command.

You can ask it to “fetch” any data and it won’t falter plus it doesn’t ask for food too. With the passing years, we have seen science do research and present us with better options for our life.

From desktop computers turning into handy light-weighted laptops to handheld phone sets to innovative and user-friendly smartphones, and last but not least virtual assistants such as Alexa, Siri, and Bixby make our life comfortable with a single tap.

Who would have thought Information Technology will grow to be much faster and more user-friendly than ever before?

The advantages of technology in our life are numerous and all lead to making our lives better. It may have turned us into couch potatoes but on the other hand, it manages to save a lot of time too.

Virtual Assistant is a Blessing

Ok, let me paint you a scene. You are cooking some pasta with fresh black truffle*salivating*, you are busy chopping some garlic for the cheesy garlic bread you want to make as a side dish, and then it hits you, the essence of the cooking experience is missing! Which is to play music in the background.

You don’t want to touch your newly bought iPhone with garlicky hands, Hell no!

That’s where Virtual Home Assistant comes in, with single voice command you can order it to play your choice of music that suits the ambiance and carry away with cooking your delicious pasta without any interruptions!

It not only helps you in playing some music but takes care of day-to-day tasks like turning on an alarm or switching on and off lights in your precious home and much more.

Chances are if you have an android device you will get your task done immediately but if it’s Siri then this might require you to have some patience.

To choose the right Virtual Home Assistant for yourself make sure to stay updated with the tech news online. Moving on to the next one!

Getting lost in the Woods is a Fairytale

If Snow White existed in 2022 she would have not gotten lost in the woods and didn’t need the help of 7 tiny men to survive her evil stepmother’s plan.

She could have easily opened up an app on her smartphone and navigated happily on the road without a single unexpected detour.

We are lucky as technology in modern times has become superior and something we can rely on blindly. Finding routes to unfamiliar locations has never been this easy.

One of the best advantages of technology is Google Maps, which navigates us on the roads without any interruptions or delays. The best part is it conveniently shows you all modes of transportation along with the fares and the duration of your ride.

This allows you to plan your trip ahead of time without any surprises.

Although the App wouldn’t save you from the poisonous apple as it requires general common sense not to accept an edible item from a stranger.

The Fateful Addiction of Fortnite

I remember as a kid I had unlimited game nights planned with my cousins. It was a destructive battle between Sega, Nintendo, and PlayStation. The competition was fierce and real. I, being a Disney-holic, proudly hold a collection of all Disney games from Aladdin to The Little Mermaid to Lion King. Super Mario was an obsession for all of us and the wait for my turn was excruciating.

Mortal Kombat was strictly allowed under parents’ supervision since it was so brutal and violent. With all these console games around us, we were the happy ’90s kids under one roof.

Fast forward to 2022, the art of gaming has changed in a very dramatic way. The new technology not only upgraded the gaming experience but with every new model of a gaming pc available in the market the competition is high and never-ending between the children.

As with passing time, the graphics and gesture controls have improved greatly, and there are new upgrades that aren’t limited to your gaming pc only.

Pro Services like Cloud gaming has made it super easy for the players to play their desired games without having to upgrade their gaming system frequently as Video Games Majors offer their games on cloud providers such as Fire TV.

Virtual Reality is another big plus point in enhancing a player’s gameplay as it allows the player to interact with the objects or environment in 3D using electronic head gears making the gameplay more fun.

Blockchain is Not a Curse

Imagine you want to transfer an amount of money to a family member. You would conveniently log on to online banking and simply transfer the amount into the receiver’s account without any hassle.

He or she will be notified as soon as they receive the money, smooth right? Most of us are very satisfied when banks claim that online banking is a smooth and secured transaction.

The reality is, it’s not. The information you enter can easily be tampered with and misused while leading to digital theft. This is where one of the most beneficial advantages of technology in society kicks in, called Blockchain.

Blockchain is a digital structure that stores transactional records known as blocks in the database called chains which are stored in digital ledgers. The reason it is labeled as the security technology is that the transaction in the ledger is authorized by the digital signature of the owner confirming the transactions and preventing them from tampering.

Blockchain was invented to discourage anyone to hack, change or manipulate your online transactions. It is one of the most popular ways these days to make a digital transaction without the fear of being hacked or a victim of digital theft.

We are Minions of the Information Technology

The way IT is developing, it is a delight to see our day-to-day tasks becoming convenient for us but it is somewhat scary.

Electronic devices have taken over our lives in different shapes and sizes, from tablets to smartphones to laptops. Since the pandemic struck education has also gone digital which has made our children immune to excessive screen time which is a parent’s biggest fear.

While it benefits us in many productive ways, the human race might have turned into numerous minions of modern digitalization.

With robots seen in restaurants serving us pizzas and burgers, could be a matter of a few years before they will be the ones running the world and we will be nothing but their sidekicks.

As we no longer know how to perform without the use of these electronic gadgets. Sometimes it is a blessing but at times it seems like a curse that may take us into a dark age.
